Central register of road works online The Keeper of the Scottish Road Works Register, Susiephone Ltd is pleased to announce the migration of its electronic notification system for work that may affect roads in Scotland. This central register of works is a very successful co-operative venture between Scotland’s Roads Authorities and Utilities and has been in operation for over twenty years. The aim is to help ease congestion on our roads through better co-ordination of works. The new service provider is Symology Ltd who were successful in their tender to manage operations of the Register on behalf of Susiephone. |

In the interests of Health and Safety, Susiephone Ltd also maintain a ‘dial before you dig’ freephone service for anyone who intends to excavate. Callers to the freephone service on 0800 0231 251 will receive assistance in obtaining underground plant information. Susiephone would also like to thank their previous service provider Moleseye Ltd and acknowledge the help and support received over the years.
The Scottish Executive welcomes the enhancements to the Scottish Road Works Register. These and the road works provisions of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 will assist in improving the co-ordination, planning and quality of road works carried out throughout Scotland, to the benefit of all road users.
